"We got our
dog, Charlie from a humane society over a year ago. We believe he had
been abused which has affected his socialisation skills and made him
nervous with some people, mainly men. When he first came to us he was
quiet and scared, but over two weeks he developed behaviours we found
hard to handle and seriously wondered if we could keep him.
Charlie became overly protective of me, territorial of the house and
aggressive with other dogs and some people. We consulted a number of
trainers who had different approaches. None of them worked. We eventually
found a training program with the E-collar, although we were very nervous
about it. However, the collar proved a wonderful tool, and Charlie has
responded very well overall. However, in recent months Charlie's behaviours
with other dogs were causing us real concern again. We could not walk
him around the block on leash because he would strain and pull and bark
hysterically at any other dog he saw. We were becoming really unpopular
in our neighbourhood and I was loathe to take him out locally.
Lilli came to our rescue. Her approach was gentle, patient and persistent.
She brought her dog with her to help us train Charlie, and she came
to our home and neighbourhood, which allowed her to see Charlie in his
own environment. After only an hour Charlie was much calmer, no longer
barking at other dogs we passed, and was walking perfectly by my side.
Lilli showed me how to use the E-collar effectively so that I now feel
much more able to control Charlie's behaviours.
I would highly recommend Lilli to anyone having difficulties with their
dogs. I can not thank her enough."
